Job Title: Corporate Service Intern
Job Description / responsibilities:
Number of Vacancies: 1 or 2
Starting Date: Oct.8th
Working Duration: The intern can be part time with 20-25 hours a week
for 6 months. There will be about 2-3 weeks training period online and
with live personnel in the office
Working Time: Morning 9 :00 am to
6:00pm.There is a steep learning curve with the intern learning things
in budgeting, customer service, and project management in a short time.
The intern is expected to be at work on time and to work hard during
the work time.
Working Place/ location: She/he will be primarily
based in the office with occasional out of office trips to pay the phone
bill or introduce the English speaking transferee to the Chinese
speaking driver to take them to the customs office.
Roles& Responsibilities:
1) Sign for and send out Kuai di from the office. Receive Utilities and
management fee, scan it, make up Check request and send to Suzhou for
PO and then to Shanghai for payment.
2) Each month go to the phone
company in person, pay the bill with money from Simon, collect Fapiao,
scan it, make up Check request and send to Suzhou for PO and then to
Shanghai for payment.
3) Scan completed move documents and assist in sending to vendors, Suzhou CS and destination office as needed.
4) Assist with Client customs visit for each sea move inside Nanjing as
requested by clients. Coordinate with Taxi driver or hired driver to
take client to the customs office. Assist with pick up and drop off of
Air clearance documents as required.
5) In rare situations when
William or a Shanghai supervisor is not available, assist with
supervision of small delivery or packing jobs. Taxi or other
transportation fees can be reimbursed for this work.
6) Answer
phones in the office when Simon or William are out of the office. Assist
the Suzhou Jiangsu CS person with email communication that may require
special language skill. I.e. communication in French or Arabic.
7)
Update the Office white boards for move schedules and pending jobs to
follow up. Assist with buying office supplies like paper and stickers
for the sticker printer. Helping Represent crown at booth or table
events like the NIC Bazaar, Sports events, NIC BBQ etc. Helping
coordinate in person Tent sponsorship and retrieval
8) Tasks that
will be done primarily by the Suzhou Customer Service person, that could
have back-up from an intern in case of annual leave maternity leave
etc.. Assisting in doing draft Job costs. Assisting in invoicing issues
9) Assisting move management tasks, prepack email, post-pack email,
Pre-alert, pre-survey confirmations. Quality control on calling the
clients before, on and after the packing day. Assisting with getting
rates from vendors. Inputing job costs of Jiangsu controlled moves
Candidate requirements:
The intern should have Chinese and English language skills.
The intern will work about 20-25 hours a week, perhaps every afternoon from 1 pm to 5:30 pm.
If the company is hiring for their qualifications at the end of the internship period it will help them get the job
Salary:
Salary: The Company will not pay for the intern but can provide perks
like going out to a free nice lunch once a week. Coffee and soda Drinks
in the office from time to time. Free admission to EUCC and NIC
networking and educational forum events.
